DAFT about DRAFT, a Tokyo-based furniture brand rooted in architecture and dedicated to a freer, more personal way of living—much like choosing what to wear—will present LAST SAMPLE, a site-specific installation at the historic Teatro Gerolamo in the heart of Milan during Milan Design Week 2026 (April 20–26).
Conceived by Japanese architect and designer Taiju Yamashita, the project marks the brand’s fourth participation in Milan Design Week. The installation, inspired by a single chair and the perspective of his beloved miniature dachshund, invites visitors to reconsider their own point of view. Through this unexpected shift in perception, the project offers a new way of engaging with furniture—where a familiar object becomes a starting point for exploring the relationship between body, space, and environment.LAST SAMPLE
