DAFT about DRAFT is a brand born from the designs that Taiju Yamashita, the designer, had been writing down little by little in the course of various projects. He has been thinking about how to propose a more personalized and freer lifestyle, just like choosing clothes, in contrast to the homogenized lifestyles we are used to. We want to design with a sense of freedom and humor without being bound by stereotypes, and we express this overflowing sense of playfulness through our products. As the brand continues to grow, DAFT about DRAFT will relocate and open at a new location in 2028, alongside the development of a new architectural space that will become its future home.
WH DAFT about DRAFT is a space where a wide range of things come together — from objects we have casually imagined and wished existed, to one-of-a-kind pieces full of character, and unique creations born from the mind of Taiju Yamashita. The avant-garde spirit and playful nature of DAFT about DRAFT remain at the heart of WH, while the space takes things further — more freely, more experimentally. Like searching through a warehouse, visitors are invited to wander through the space, discovering unexpected objects and encountering unique pieces found nowhere else.
